Testimonials

reflections on time well spent

"Our family had previously been working with another college counselor, but we quickly realized the approach was not the right fit for our daughter or our family. By the time we recognized we needed more personalized guidance and support, many applications had already been submitted.

With deadlines closing in, supplemental essays unfinished, resumes needing major development, and our daughter leaving for a two-week vacation, we felt completely overwhelmed. Then we met Tracy and everything changed. She stepped in during the most stressful stage of the process and immediately became so much more than a college consultant.

Tracy was a calming presence, a trusted counselor, and a true advocate for our daughter. She guided us through essays, applications, resumes, career exploration, and college planning with incredible care and expertise. What stood out most was how deeply invested she became in our daughter’s success and well-being. Tracy consistently went above and beyond, helping her not only navigate admissions but also thoughtfully evaluate schools, opportunities, and future career paths.

She brought clarity, confidence, and calm to what had felt like chaos, and honestly kept our entire family sane during an incredibly stressful time. Thanks to Tracy’s guidance, our daughter ended the process feeling confident, excited, and empowered about her future and we truly believe her support made all the difference.

Our only regret is not finding Tracy earlier in the process. We are forever grateful for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering support."

"When it came time for our oldest son to prepare his college essays, we were nervous and intimidated by the entire process. So much has changed about college admissions. Before working with Tracy, our son wrote at least ten Common App essay drafts, each one feeling more rote and average than the last. With every attempt, he became more discouraged. Truthfully, he was stuck.

He is a procrastinator and needed someone other than his parents to keep him on task — someone who could provide structure, concrete deadlines, and steady encouragement without pushing so hard that he shut down. That is an incredibly fine line to walk, and Tracy handled it with ease. From the moment Tracy entered our lives, everything changed. She immediately focused on getting to know our son and understanding what truly makes him who he is.

Through thoughtful, open-ended conversations, she drew him out naturally. Before they wrote a single word together, Tracy made the effort to understand him first. Our quiet son opened up to her completely. He felt safe, valued, and excited to talk about his life, interests, and passions with someone who listened so intently. Something soon clicked. Ideas began to surface, and Tracy was there to gently coax them out, protect them, and help him weave them into something meaningful.

Our son’s Common App essay was thoughtful without being overly sentimental, deeply personal without oversharing, and vulnerable in a way that feels genuine and mature. When you finish reading it, you feel like you truly know him — and want to know even more. Our son was ultimately accepted to his first-choice reach school.

At Accepted Students Day, an admissions officer found him in the crowd, introduced herself to us, and said, “I got to read your application, and I am SO glad you are here.” For an admissions officer to remember a student by name and comment on his application speaks volumes about the impression it made. But the greatest gift Tracy gave our son was not simply a successful application process. In order to help him shine, she first took the time to truly see and understand who he is. The essays Tracy helped guide him through may have opened the door to college, but the confidence and self-awareness he gained from the process will stay with him far longer. "

"Our hope was to partner with a professional who could steer our son’s college essay-writing process from the beginning to the end. The hands-on guidance we received from Tracy far exceeded our expectations. Not only is Tracy an expert in her field, she has a way of connecting with the students she coaches. This connection is what enables her to lead students during a time that can sometimes be stressful for the entire family. Tracy gave us more than we ever imagined. She provided nearly round-the-clock encouragement, critique, and counsel. She was one of our son’s biggest advocates and cheerleaders as he wrote his college essays, and we are forever grateful."

"When I started the college application process I was overwhelmed and stressed out about the upcoming chapter in my life and how to make my application process go well. The first thing to do was to write my common app essay. When I met Ms. Tracy at my school, school and she told me she could help me. I was grateful but I never could've expected such a wonderful outcome. Having ms tracy work with me through the process made everything easier, relieving all my stress and anxiety. Thanks to her keeping me on a good schedule with great advice, I was able to complete my essay with much time before the actual due date. My essay encapsulated the story I wanted to tell...amazingly...all thanks to Ms Tracy. I would highly recommend her if you need any help with the college application process."
